Visual meditation on timeless cycle. Ancestral symbols combine with contemporary musings, layering art and science onto a 6’ x 20’ mural. During daylight hours, sunlight brilliantly shows the mural’s pure-color inks (cyan, magenta, yellow) on a bright-white background. Nighttime is flooded with alternating red, green, and blue flood lights, layered images morph and coalesce into one another. The imagery comes alive with motion atop brightly-lit background colors. Light and color theory drive the process. The three pure-color inks (cyan, magenta, yellow) visibly change depending on which color of light is being used. In white light, all three inks are visible as color. But in red light, for example, cyan appears black, while magenta and yellow nearly disappear. Designed and produced by camp member Dina.
